Kayaking at Lower Fishguard

What an experience! We feel so blessed to begin this project out on the water, with Mike Mayberry as our guide, drawing the cliffs, coves, headland: our coastline and we couldn't have wished for better weather! We even had a baby seal (possibly only a month old) come and say "hello"! It was magnificent.

Living in a rural community, it is easy to feel removed from the excitement, adventure and opportunities available in big cities, but days like today I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the whole world! Its another reason why festivals like the National Campaign For Drawing's The Big Draw is so fantastic, although we are so far away, we are a part of something far greater. We can confidently go out, embrace our surroundings, tell our story through our art, and be a part of something bigger.

We may be littler, quieter and simpler but we are proud, brave and passionate. Armed with our pencils and pens we aim to draw our land, share our story, write history, together.
