Bigger Picture in the making

Beginning at first light and working into the night, it took 8 days of drawing to complete. Along with Jane James, family, friends and a few days of open studios welcoming a number of sketchers who had been along to various Coast Lines workshops, this piece was finished in record speed! An incredible piece to create, an experience I hope I never forget and aim to repeat. I can't wait to exhibit it! Complied from approximately 150 drawings, it is a wonderful statement piece about life in North Pembrokeshire.

A part of the NADFAS Every Drawing Tells A Story workshops, this piece aims to be a visual sentence of our town.

It will be exhibited in St Mary's Church from August 26th-September 10th as a part of the Coast Lines exhibition.

Thank you Dad and Joe for making the easel! My hero's!

Unrolling the paper to lightly plot the drawing:

Drawn in 2 meter sections at a time, we slowly recreated a selection of sketches from the sketchbooks onto the paper.
